- My sister is pregnant. There’s a couple things there. One, she told my Dad and all her friends but not me (as of now). Two, she will be 42 by the time she gives birth and while I know people older than that have given birth with no issues whatsoever, it makes me nervous for her. Dad says she’s due in December.
- I’m an idiot who had sunscreen with me yesterday but didn’t put it on. Now I have burn on my arms. PRO TIP: Put sunscreen on when you’re out in the sun. You would think I would have learned this lesson by now but you’d be wrong. Oh so terribly wrong.
- There’s like three weeks and a half left until Julie’s Relay for Life event. Please consider contributing to her team if you haven’t, or contribute again.
- I wonder, exactly, what Gordon Gee gives to Ohio State that warrants a two million dollar per year salary and an over half a million dollar per year travel budget. What will the tipping point be for college tuition?
- My back is finally starting to feel better. It’s been like 9 days since I tweaked it. Let this be a lesson to you young, strong, healthy people. It all ends. All of it. Enjoy it while you can.

- I made a covers playlist on Spotify awhile back. Feel free to steal if you need ideas for today’s themesong.
- We had a major thunderstorm pass through here last night. The air had this odd honeysuckle smell to it as it was kicking off. Sort of fun, other than the loud thunder.
- I went back to the gym today for the first time in awhile. There have been forces conspiring to keep me away, so I’m hoping the routine comes back and it sticks. Gotta look trim for Michigan, yo.
- I made a wing sauce the other day with honey and chili powder that was really amazing, but I think I need to add some brown sugar in to thicken it. Testing sauces is my new hobby. I probably need a new hobby.
- I’m going to see PSU play football this Saturday for the first time in awhile. I don’t get back to the campus much these days but they’ll be in Philadelphia to play Temple, so I’ll go. There’s a footy match later that night so you all will be spared pictures of my cats and whatever other nonsense I post on Saturdays.
- Things that bother me in the middle of the night: Why wouldn’t Dumbledore just kill the young Tom Riddle and save the world from what he became? He had access to Time Turners and could go back whenever he wanted (up until the kids third year). Unanswered questions, man.
- A two day weekend after a three day weekend is SUCH a letdown. We need to rethink this whole “five eight-hour days” thing, people.

- I missed my dog something fierce yesterday. She was the best companion when I was down sick.
- I can sit upright today and I had coffee. This is a HUGE improvement from yesterday that mostly included being unable to open my eyes for too long and having the bedspins without all the fun of the drunken shenanigans beforehand.
- My eyes are sore.
- The first migraine in three years was a return to all my paranoia when they come. I have a bit more perspective on it now, though. That’s a good thing.
- Tumblr Up All Night, at least my dashboard’s version of it, is pretty strange.
- It’s nice to have today to recover from this mess. I don’t think I could have legitimately worked today.
- Happy Labor Day.

- My sister and my niece are coming to visit next week. This may be the last time I see them until the inevitable nuptials that will take place at some random time in the future.
- Norway outlawed the death penalty in 1905. That guy is going to live in prison until he dies. I’m pretty sure I know how I feel about that.
- It’s only 998 degrees out today. It also appears as if the skies are going to open up here at any time. These are both welcome developments.
- RedCardHomophobia had an interesting blurb about women’s football today.

- I made a Christmas playlist today on spotify but I didn’t feel like hearing any shit in comments so you can just find it yourselves.
- I judge restaurants by the quality of their chicken fingers and salad bar.
